Bluffton Branch History Club Book Discussion Thursday, March 29th at 2 p.m.
The Bluffton Branch Library is pleased to announce that the first meeting of the Bluffton History Book Club will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the small conference room. Everyone is invited to come, including all lovers of history, to talk about Joseph J. Ellis’s Pulitzer Prize winning book Founding Brothers.
The Founding Brothers is Ellis’s stirring account of six major figures that played a major role in the founding of the United States: George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, James Madison, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, and Thomas Jefferson. In the end, the author reveals how these fascinating men were indeed the true “founding brothers” to their new nation.
The group will also discuss possible selections for future book discussions, so please come with your history book recommendations.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Joe Selleck at the Bluffton Branch of the Beaufort County Library at 757-1548 or jselleck@bcgov.net..
